Why I Am A PLP
by, PLP Candidate for
Carmichael John G.F. Carey
Have you been contemplating which
side of the political divide you are going to join? With all the chaos that the
political arena seems to have are you unsure? What does the PLP offer? How does
one know if he or she is PLP? If you are looking for leadership who cares more
about its people then you are a PLP. If you believe in
togetherness and building
the man before building the nation, you are a PLP. We believe in creating
opportunities for each individual. When each individual is successful, then
each community can be successful. When each community is successful, then each
island can be successful. When each island is successful, then our
nation can be successful. We
believe in a Bahamas for Bahamians.
I am a PLP because PLPs
fight for Bahamians. We put the Bahamian people first. We care about the
progress and development of the nation. We strive to be leaders who are devoted
to positive change rather than partisanship battles. We are solution seekers,
not problem creators.
I am a PLP because we
welcome the downtrodden, the outcastand the neglected. We welcome you whether
you’re black or white, rich or poor, young or old. We welcome you regardless of
your gender or what gender you want to hold hands with. I am a PLP because we
are fighting for the future of the Bahamas. The PLP has a vision that is not
just economically friendly. We have a vision for a Bahamas in which every
aspect of its machinery is working. This is the spirit of our party and I am
proud to be a PLP.
